Just £65 a year gets sole traders into 7,000 directories and on to a website getting thousands of hits every year.
Lenham Valley Business Association is about to put a local business directory through your door in the coming month. Six thousand copies have been printed this year and the majority of those will be delivered to every home and business in the Charing - Ulcombe - Harrietsham triangle.
There’s a sliding scale of membership fees that starts at £65 for a sole trader and ends with £165 per year if you employ more than 100 employees. For that you can come to all our network meetings, have up to five mentions on our website and the same in the business directory. That’s better than good value! In October we met at Chilston Park where Jenna Hunter, from Whitehead Monckton presented “Essential HR issues - ways to protect your business”. Our second presenter, Flo Churchill, Maidstone Borough Council told us and answered questions about Maidstone’s Core Strategy. Also at the meeting. our latest new member, Simon Burchett from Channel Photography, displayed a selection of aerial photographs of the Len Valley area taken just days before. One, of Charing, appears on the front cover of the new business directory. Look out for more information about Channel Photography at the next networking meeting on Tuesday 1 November at The Oak in Charing when the Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Brian Mortimer will be our special guest and Alan Reading of Custom Marketing Resources (also LVBA chair) will take you through the LVBA website.
At 5.45pm on Tuesday 6th December - we met with the South Maidstone Business Association at Chilston Park Hotel.
If you are a first timer go to the Lenham Business website and register to attend. It costs nothing and we can provide with you with some good networking. Every first Tuesday of the month in 2012 (apart from June) we will be networking somewhere nearby. Make sure you stay in touch. Remember sole traders pay only £65 per year!
