Kent County Council is operating a Student Placement Programme (GIGS). A government funded scheme to help young students in Kent find placements and keep the cream in Kent!
We have a pool of Graduates, Gap Year and Sandwich(Year In Industry) students looking for their first step on the career ladder. We would be very grateful if you could assist us in considering offering a placement to one of our students.
The programme is structured to assist Kent companies and local authorities with recruitment. We source the highest calibre 'gapyear students', 'year in industry students' & recent 'graduates' to fill your vacancies*
The programme has been running successfully for six years and has placed over 400 of Kent's finest in employment throughout the County.
All the students registered with us have been extensively interviewed either face to face or via telephone, we then grade them on communication and knowledge of subject. We simplify the recruitment process by forwarding across CV's for your post on request and within a week you can have an intelligent highly motivated employee in your office, ready to hit the ground running. Not only saving you money on expensive advertising, but valuable time on lengthy recruitment procedures.
To find out more please email gigscareerplacements@kent.gov.uk or call me on 01622 605030.
*Because we are not a recruitment agency we do not charge large fees but we do ask for an administration fee of £200 + vat per student placed. Salary is paid by the company directly to the Student.
